Udhampur, Nov 18: In a shocking incident in the Kiya Panchayat Ramnagar area of Udhampur district, a man allegedly killed his mother-in-law and inflicted serious injuries on his wife and sister-in-law.
According to a police source, Sudesh Kumar, son of Krishan Kumar from Batadu in Udhampur, attacked his family members with a sharp weapon, leading to the death of his mother-in-law.
The injured wife and sister-in-law were initially taken to a hospital in Ramnagar but were later referred to the District Hospital Udhampur. Due to her critical condition, the wife was subsequently transferred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment, while the sister-in-law continues to receive care at the District Hospital Udhampur.
The accused fled the scene immediately after the attack. Police have launched a search operation to arrest him, with initial investigations pointing to a personal dispute as the cause of the violence.
