JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 26 (BANN) : Mission Shakti Jammu, District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Department of Social Welfare on Saturday organized an awareness session on “Reproductive Health and Family Planning” at the CDPO Office Akhnoor.
The session focused on reproductive health, family planning, menstrual and maternal care, preventive healthcare, and timely access to medical services. MD Gynaecology from Akhnoor Hospital Dr. Ritu Sharma conducted the technical session and addressed participants’ queries.
District Mission Coordinator Shagun Manchanda highlighted the importance of reproductive health awareness in women’s empowerment and encouraged informed healthcare choices.
Sanitary napkins were distributed among participants. Dr. Shelja from Akhnoor Hospital and Khushboo Khatri, Gender Specialist, DHEW Jammu were also present.
