Doda, February 20 (BANN) : In response to a complaint regarding the underweight delivery of an LPG cylinder, the Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Doda conducted an inspection at Gas Agency Bhaderwah, ensuring transparency and consumer protection.

During the inspection, which was carried out in the presence of the complainant, 33 LPG cylinders were randomly weighed to verify their net weight. While most cylinders met the required standards, the particular cylinder in question was found to be short by 2.8 kg.

The complainant also appreciated the proactive role of Assistant Controller LMD Doda in safeguarding consumer interests. LMD Doda has urged the public to remain vigilant while purchasing LPG cylinders and report any discrepancies to the authorities. The department reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumer rights and ensuring fair trade practices.

Furthermore, the Legal Metrology Department announced its plans to conduct regular inspection drives to prevent unfair trade practices and uphold consumer rights.

For any concerns regarding weighment issues, consumers are encouraged to reach out to LMD Doda and report discrepancies to ensure accountability in the market.
