The Meteorological Department in Srinagar stated that this disturbance is likely to affect the region between January 15 and 16, with light snowfall anticipated in areas such as Sonamarg and nearby regions.

“Dry weather is expected to prevail across most parts of Jammu and Kashmir until January 20,” the department added, noting the possibility of another wet spell between January 20 and 21.
