ADDC Rajouri Directs Departments to Ensure Smooth Relocation and Care
Rajouri, Jan 22 (BANN): Following a series of deaths due to an unknown illness in Badhal village, the affected families are being relocated to the Government Nursing College in Rajouri for safety and better care.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, has issued orders assigning various responsibilities to departments and officials to facilitate the relocation and ensure necessary arrangements at the Nursing College.
According to the order, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, will provide security by deploying personnel to restrict unauthorized access and monitor the premises.
The Principal of GMC & AH Rajouri has been directed to arrange a round-the-clock team of doctors at the Nursing College.
The Chief Education Officer, Rajouri, will supply 100 single-bedded mattresses and beds for the relocated families.
The Deputy District Election Officer, Rajouri, will oversee the installation of CCTV cameras in the kitchen area to maintain safety.
The Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Rajouri, has been tasked with providing hygiene supplies, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and hair oil. Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Officer will arrange a medical team, an ambulance, and required medicines on site.
The XEN JPDCI and XEN Jal Shakti Rajouri will ensure an uninterrupted power supply and sufficient water availability at the facility.
The Chief Planning Officer, along with the Accounts Officer and Assistant Director of FCS & CA Rajouri, will manage food supplies, cooked meals, blankets, and mattresses.
The Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee, Rajouri, is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, providing mobile toilets, and setting up dustbins, while the Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, will ensure food and water testing before consumption.
Additionally, the Principal of Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Rajouri will be present at the Nursing College to oversee inventory and distribution of essential items.
The Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS & CA, will supervise the preparation and distribution of meals for the families.
These steps are being taken as part of an organized response to the crisis after 17 deaths were reported in the village over the past 50 days. Four more cases of illness have been reported in the last 24 hours, highlighting the urgency of the situation. (BANN)
