SRINAGAR, AUGUST 04: In anticipation of Independence Day 2024, Syed Ahmad Kataria, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Srinagar, conducted an on-site review at Bakshi Stadium on Sunday to oversee the preparation and arrangements being made by various departments.
Senior officers from both the Police and Civil Administration accompanied the ADC during the visit. The review began with a tour of the stadium pavilions and VIP Gallery to gain a first-hand understanding of the ongoing preparatory activities. The ADC assessed the arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the Independence Day celebrations.
The ADC emphasized the importance of comprehensive preparations, directing officers from all relevant departments to ensure adequate seating facilities, cultural programs, march-past parade, transportation and parking, power supply, and the deployment of medical and first aid teams. Additionally, arrangements for fire and emergency services, the installation of public address systems, media management, and security were discussed.
Furthermore, the ADC highlighted the necessity of robust security measures around the stadium to guarantee the event’s smooth execution. He urged officers to maintain close coordination with each other to ensure the seamless conduct of the function.
