CEO SSCL Reviews Implementation of Intelligent Traffic Management System in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 15 (BANN): In a bid to modernize traffic management in Srinagar, Dr. Owais Ahmed, CEO of Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), convened a high-level meeting at the SMC Central Office in Karanagar to review the implementation of the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS).

The initiative aims to enhance road safety, reduce traffic congestion, and improve overall traffic flow in the city. The meeting was attended by SSP Traffic Srinagar, the Additional CEO of SSCL, Chief Engineer SSCL, and other senior officials to discuss the proposed strategies for integrating advanced technology into Srinagar’s traffic management framework.

The ITMS is designed to utilize real-time data analytics, smart signaling, and automated monitoring systems to optimize traffic conditions and ensure quick responses to any incidents.

During the meeting, Dr. Owais emphasized the need for innovative solutions to address urban traffic challenges. “Implementing the ITMS will not only enhance the efficiency of our traffic system but will also contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment,” he stated.

The initiative is expected to bring significant improvements to the city’s traffic management, ensuring safer and more efficient road usage for residents and visitors alike.
