
Srinagar, 26 Aug : The Indian National Congress (INC) and National Conference (NC) are in the final stages of negotiations over seat-sharing, with the outcome likely to shape the future of their alliance.
A definitive decision is expected by the end of the day as representatives from both parties continue their discussions.
Sources within the KB have confirmed that AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal and alliance coordinator Salman Khurshid have arrived at Farooq Abdullah’s Gupkar residence in Srinagar to participate in the talks.
The meeting, currently underway, is set to finalize the seat-sharing arrangement and determine whether the two parties will contest the upcoming elections together. — (KB)
