
Kulgam, December 12 (BANN): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, visited Paniwah village to offer support and oversee relief efforts for families affected by a recent fire incident. During his visit, the DC extended his sympathies to the affected families and assured them of full support from the District Administration to help them recover from the loss.
He emphasized that every effort would be made to provide relief swiftly and effectively. As part of the immediate assistance, Rs. 2,46,500 has been sanctioned under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to support each affected family. Additionally, relief materials, including blankets, food kits, and kitchen utensils, were distributed through the Red Cross to meet urgent needs.
The DC also encouraged the public to take necessary precautions to prevent similar incidents in the future, highlighting the importance of safety measures.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by senior officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildar Kulgam, and other representatives from the administration, during his visit.
