Pulwama, 19 Aug : An elderly man tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in the Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

According to an official who spoke to News Agency, the accident occurred in Barsoo, Awantipora, when a private vehicle collided with the man, causing severe injuries.
He was quickly transported to SKIMS Soura by a police team, but the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

The deceased has been identified as Mohd Rajab Wani, son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Goripora, Awantipora.
Meanwhile, a police official informed News agency that the police have taken cognizance of the incident.(ks)
