
Srinagar, Jan 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has announced a reconstitution of the Board of Directors for the Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).
According to an official order, all previous orders related to the KVIB board have been revoked, and the board has been restructured. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Industries and Commerce, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, has been named the new chairperson of the board, replacing Dr. Hina Bhat, a senior BJP leader, who previously held the position.
The new board includes Administrative Secretary Finance, Administrative Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Administrative Secretary Industries and Commerce Department, Registrar Cooperative Societies, Director General (Codes) of the Finance Department, Director MSME DL of J&K, Director Industries and Commerce Jammu, Mission Director Rural Livelihood Mission J&K, and Director Industries and Commerce Kashmir as its members. The decision aims to bring new leadership and direction to the functioning of KVIB.
