
Commit to Swift Justice: IGP; Priority Medical Attention for Wounded: DC Srinagar
Srinagar, Nov 03 : Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vidhi Kumar Birdi and Srinagar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din visited a local hospital on Sunday to check on the civilians injured in a grenade blast that occurred at Srinagar’s bustling Sunday Market.
The police spokesperson shared that the IGP visited the hospital to show support for the injured following the explosion near the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) at the market, which left eleven people hurt. “IGP Kashmir expressed his concern for the well-being of the victims, wished them a quick recovery, and assured families that those responsible for the attack would face justice,” stated the spokesperson’s report.
The blast, happening in a crowded area, resulted in eleven people sustaining injuries, though all are reported to be stable.Alongside the IGP, DC Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din, also met with the injured.
“We spoke with the injured individuals currently under treatment. Two of them will require surgery,” he remarked. Dr. Mohi-Ud-Din emphasized that special medical attention would be given to the injured, adding that some will be discharged after receiving necessary treatment.
