Pulwama, Sept 5 (BANN) : The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ Forum (JKTF), Pulwama, on Saturday extended heartfelt Teachers’ Day greetings to the teaching fraternity and paid tribute to educators for their dedication, sacrifice and role in shaping the future of society.
In a message issued on the occasion, JKTF Pulwama District President Ghulam Hassan Mir said teachers are not merely educators but “nation-builders and architects of the future”, whose contribution goes beyond classrooms and examination results.
Mir emphasised that “Child is Our Priority” must remain at the heart of the education system, with every student entitled to safety, dignity, equal opportunity, encouragement and quality education.
JKTF Pulwama also stressed the need to strengthen teachers’ dignity, welfare and legitimate rights, saying an effective education system requires empowered and respected teachers working in a supportive environment.
The forum reiterated its commitment to raising genuine issues of teachers before the concerned authorities through democratic, lawful and constructive means.
At the same time, JKTF called upon teachers to uphold punctuality, discipline, professional integrity, accountability and quality teaching, emphasising that rights must go hand in hand with responsibilities.
The forum also acknowledged teachers serving in difficult and challenging circumstances and appreciated their continued commitment to students despite hardships.
