Srinagar, Oct 22 : Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday refuted social media claims suggesting that non-local workers have been instructed to leave the Valley.

In a post on X, Kashmir zone police, citing IGP Kashmir, as reported by the news agency , clarified that the rumors of the local administration asking non-local workers to exit the Valley are baseless.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police are dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of all individuals, allowing them to carry on with their livelihoods without any threats or intimidation, the police emphasized.

The public was also urged not to believe false information circulating on social media platforms. This clarification comes after a major terror attack on a construction site in Gagangeer, Ganderbal district, on Sunday evening, where seven people, including some migrant workers, were killed.
