Srinagar, Feb 16, : A resident of Srinagar has accused a doctor at Dental College Srinagar of medical negligence, alleging that the wrong tooth was extracted during a dental procedure.
Nadeem Ahmad, aged 27, shared with KNT that he visited the Dental College for severe tooth pain relief. However, instead of removing the affected lower eighth (L8) tooth, the doctor mistakenly pulled out his healthy upper eighth tooth.
Nadeem expressed his shock and disappointment over the incident, saying he was deeply upset by what had happened.
When approached, Principal Dental College Dr. Aijaz stated that the issue has been brought to the attention of the Head of the Department (HoD), Dr. Irshad Misgar. “An inquiry will be carried out, and if the doctor is found at fault, suitable action will be taken,” he assured. [KNT]
