Jammu, January 23: Sakeena Itoo, Minister for Health, Medical, Social Welfare and Education, visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and SMGS Hospital in Shalamar today to check on the health and well-being of patients from Budhal village in Rajouri district.
MLA Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen, Principal GMC Jammu, Medical Superintendents of both hospitals, and other medical professionals were also present.
During her visit, Sakeena Itoo spoke with Budhal patients and assured them of all possible government support. She stated that a detailed investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident. “The health department, police, and district administration are working round the clock to find out the real cause,” the Minister said.
The Minister also reviewed the treatment and care being provided to the patients, instructing the hospital administration to regularly monitor their health conditions. She directed them to ensure that an ample number of doctors and paramedics are available for continuous monitoring. She also requested updates on the patients’ well-being.
