
New Delhi, Jan 18 (BANN): Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set up an Inter-Ministerial Team to investigate the recent deaths in the Rajouri district of Jammu.
The team, led by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will visit the affected village to examine the causes of three incidents that have occurred over the last six weeks in the district.
According to a statement issued to BANN, the team will include experts from the Ministries of Health and Family Welfare, Agriculture, Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Water Resources. Specialists from animal husbandry, food safety, and forensic science will also assist in the investigation.
The team is scheduled to begin its work on January 19. It will coordinate with the local administration to provide immediate relief and implement measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Renowned experts from top institutions in the country have been engaged to handle the situation and identify the factors contributing to the deaths, the statement added.
Notably, 16 people have lost their lives in the past six weeks, but the exact cause remains unknown. (BANN)
