
RAJOURI, JANUARY 18(BANN): Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary visited Badhaal village today to meet the families grieving the loss of 16 people from three households in a tragic incident.
During his visit, he expressed deep sympathy and assured the families of full support from the district administration in this challenging time. Earlier, Cabinet Ministers Sakeena Itoo and Javed Rana had also visited the village after the initial two incidents to offer condolences and ensure necessary measures were taken.
The district administration is actively providing essential supplies such as food and water to the affected families and the community. Medical teams have been deployed and are working to address immediate health concerns in the area.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is investigating the cause of the tragic deaths. He mentioned that the Chief Minister is closely monitoring the situation and that efforts are underway to determine whether the deaths were due to natural causes or other factors.
“There is no need for panic. The government is committed to the welfare of its citizens and will ensure every possible support,” he said.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, MLA Budhal Javed Iqbal Choudhary, ADDC Rajouri Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, and other district officials accompanied the Deputy CM during his visit.
