Body of girl retrieved from Jhelum after two days in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 02: The body of girl, who had jumped into river Jehlum in Habbakadal area of Srinagar on Wednesday has been retrieved this morning.

Reports reaching said that a teenage girl (name withheld) allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river jhelum in Habbakadal area of Srinagar on Wednesday afternoon.

They said after the incident a rescue operation was launched by SDRF and River Police Srinagar to retrieve her body and after two days her body was retrieved from Jhelum in Bagiyas area of Chattabal this morning.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and body has been shifted to hospital for medicolegal formalities, they said.KNO
