Gunfight Erupts in Srinagar’s Khanyar Area

Srinagar, Nov 02 :An encounter between militants and security forces commenced in the Khanyar locality of Srinagar, central Kashmir, on Saturday morning, as per officials.

A senior police officer informed news agency that security personnel launched a search operation in the area based on credible information regarding the presence of militants. Upon reaching the suspected location, the militants, who were concealed, opened fire, leading to a fierce gunfight.“The exchange of fire is ongoing.
