
Budgam, December 15 (BANN) : Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, conducted an inspection of healthcare facilities in the Char-i-Sharief area to evaluate infrastructure and healthcare services provided to the local population.
During his visit, the Speaker reviewed the functioning of various health institutions, including SDH Nagam, PHC Nowpora, PHC Dada-Ompora, PHC Kanir, and CHC Kremshore. He assessed the availability of essential health services, cleanliness, patient care, and medical equipment.
Interacting with healthcare workers, the Speaker acknowledged the challenges they face and assured improvements in infrastructure and facilities to meet the growing demands of the region.
He also engaged with patients and their families to understand their concerns and to evaluate the quality of medical services. At SDH Nagam, locals brought up several issues, including the need for a retention wall behind the hospital, a boundary wall, installation of a digital X-ray facility, deployment of an ultrasound specialist, a biodegradable waste management shed, a lift facility, and an oxygen generation plant. They also highlighted the poor condition of the hospital’s approach road.
The Speaker assured the residents that these issues would be addressed on priority. Senior officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Budgam and the Director of Health Services Kashmir, accompanied the Speaker during the inspection.___BANN
