
Tral, April 6: A tragic fire incident occurred at a religious seminary in Tral during the late hours of Saturday night, resulting in the death of a 12-year-old boy and injuries to six other students.
The victim, Yasir Bashir, a resident of Kuchmulla village in Tral, was among the students present at Darul Uloom Shah Hamdan—a three-storey Islamic institution—when the fire broke out unexpectedly during the night. The blaze caused severe damage to the structure and led to chaos as evacuation efforts began.
Local sources informed BANN News that several students were safely evacuated, while six others who sustained burn injuries were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. All of the injured students are said to be in stable condition.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown as authorities continue their investigation. Police have filed a case and launched an inquiry to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident.
