
Baramulla, Aug 20 : A watchman from Uri, Baramulla, sustained injuries after jumping from a building during an earthquake in North Kashmir’s Baramulla early this morning, according to eyewitnesses.
The witnesses informed that the incident took place at Ahmad Complex, where the watchman, identified as Nisar Ahmad Khan, jumped from the building in a state of panic as the tremors shook the area.
They further mentioned that local residents quickly came to his aid and transported him to District Hospital Baramulla. His condition is reported to be stable, and he is receiving the necessary treatment.
Additionally, information provided to News agency indicates that the earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale, causing alarm at 6:52 AM. The quake’s epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers, with coordinates placing it in Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir.—(kB)
