Srinagar, Jan 29 (BANN): Daily wagers and casual labourers working in the Wildlife Department staged a protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence in Srinagar on Wednesday. They demanded the regularisation of their services and wages equal to other employees. According to reports, a large number of protesters gathered outside the CM’s residence in Gupkar to voice their concerns.
They expressed frustration over being ignored despite working in the department for more than ten years. One of the protesters said that their requests had not been considered so far and urged the government to take immediate action to address their demands.
A delegation from the protesting workers also met National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who assured them that he would discuss the matter with the concerned minister in Jammu on Monday. The protesters warned that if their demands were not fulfilled, they would continue their protest until their issues were resolved.
