
Srinagar, Feb 28 (BANN): The Education Minister, Sakina Masood Itoo, has announced an extension of winter vacations for all schools in Kashmir till March 6. The decision comes in view of the prevailing cold weather conditions in the region.
The minister stated that schools will now reopen on March 7. The extension applies to all classes across the Kashmir Valley.
Earlier, schools were scheduled to reopen on 1st March , but considering the harsh winter and student safety, authorities have decided to prolong the break.
Parents and students had been eagerly waiting for an official update, as many parts of the Valley continue to experience cold temperatures. The government’s decision is expected to provide relief to students, ensuring a comfortable and safe return to school.
With schools set to reopen on March 7, authorities have urged institutions to ensure proper heating arrangements in classrooms to facilitate a smooth transition for students after the long winter break._BANN
