
Jammu, March 2: Two young girls from Anantnag district in South Kashmir tragically lost their lives after falling into water-filled pits in the Bari Brahmana area of Jammu, officials reported.
According to sources, the victims, aged approximately 10 and 11, belonged to a nomadic community. The pits, allegedly formed due to illegal mining, became a death trap for the children, leading to their drowning.
Authorities confirmed that their bodies were recovered on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
