Srinagar, October 25, 2024: Mudasir Karim, the Youth President of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference, has raised serious concerns regarding the impact of the SARFAESI Act on the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a recent tweet, Karim expressed deep concern about the increasing number of possession notices appearing in local papers, which he believes is causing embarrassment for affected families and guarantors.”Seeing families and guarantors publicly shamed is truly distressing,” Karim remarked.
“It’s essential for business communities across markets to unite in seeking a solution. Today, it’s someone else; tomorrow, it could be any of us.”Karim urged the government to step in to address this urgent issue. He highlighted how fear of such notices is deterring young people from exploring entrepreneurial opportunities.
“We need an environment that nurtures innovation rather than one where young people fear repercussions,” he added, emphasizing the importance of a supportive economic landscape for the region’s youth.__BANN
