DC Pulwama Emphasizes Coordination for Smooth Event Execution

PULWAMA, AUGUST 07 BANN: Dr. Basharat Qayoom, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Pulwama, led a detailed review meeting at Circuit House Pulwama to assess the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
The meeting covered various critical aspects, including security measures, cultural programs, venue setup, PAS installation, availability of ambulances and fire tenders, and ensuring uninterrupted water and power supply. Public engagement activities were also discussed.
Dr. Qayoom highlighted the importance of the Independence Day celebrations, stressing the need for a well-coordinated and successful event that reflects unity and patriotism. He urged all departments and the public to actively participate and cooperate to make the occasion memorable.
He emphasized the significance of this national event, noting that the day would be celebrated with deep patriotism, honoring the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives.
In Pulwama District, major functions will be held at DPL Pulwama and DPL Awantipora, with additional celebrations at the subdivision, tehsil, and block levels. Flag hoisting ceremonies will take place at all government offices, hospitals, and schools, ensuring widespread and enthusiastic participation across the district.
The meeting was informed that the march-past will feature contingents from the J&K Police, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC, and various schools. Preparations for a vibrant cultural program are in full swing, with rehearsals underway to ensure a spectacular presentation.
Dr. Qayoom instructed officers to make all arrangements in advance, emphasizing the need for fool-proof preparations for the smooth conduct of the celebrations in all tehsils, blocks, and administrative units of the district.
The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama and Awantipora, ADDC Pulwama, ADCs of Pulwama, Tral, and Awantipora, along with all district and sectoral officers.
