PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 26 (BANN): Dr. Basharat Qayoom, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Pulwama, chaired a detailed meeting today to review the preparations for the upcoming JKSSB recruitment examination for Constable positions in the Home Department, scheduled for December 1, 2024.Focus on Smooth ConductThe meeting emphasized the importance of a smooth, fair, and transparent examination process. The exam will be held across 30 designated centers in the district, with 9,264 candidates expected to participate. Special attention was given to implementing all necessary measures to uphold the integrity of the competitive exam.Logistics and Security MeasuresArrangements for vehicle requirements, deployment of magistrates, and secure handling of examination materials have been finalized. Examination centers, including the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), which will host 1,392 candidates, are equipped with CCTV cameras and videography to ensure effective monitoring and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Comfort and Security ProvisionsThe DC directed officials to ensure adequate heating provisions and strict frisking measures at all centers. Dr. Qayoom stressed the importance of maintaining a transparent examination environment and instructed all staff to strictly follow SOPs. He also called for additional manpower deployment where necessary to ensure the guidelines are rigorously implemented.Collaborative EffortsThe meeting was attended by SSP Pulwama, P.D. Nitya; ADCs of Pulwama and Tral; ASP Awantipora; magistrates; heads of institutions; and other officials involved in the examination process. Dr. Qayoom reiterated that strict compliance with SOPs and collaborative efforts by all stakeholders are crucial for the successful conduct of this important examination.
