Some areas may continue to see brief showers later in the day. From August 16 to 20, the region should be prepared for continued light to moderate rain and thundershowers in various locations.
The MET Centre has issued a severe weather alert, highlighting the possibility of heavy rainfall, particularly in the Jammu Division, which could result in flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in susceptible areas.
Residents are advised to stay vigilant and ready for sudden changes in weather conditions. There is also a risk of waterlogging in low-lying areas and rising water levels in the Tawi and other flood channels in the Jammu Division over the next five days.
Authorities and residents are urged to stay informed through official updates and take the necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of the adverse weather conditions.
